Interview Decoded is run by Rob Oates. This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use this website and the Interview Decoded prep tool.
What information you provide
When you use the prep tool, you may provide:
- a job advert
- your CV, LinkedIn text, work history, or experience notes
- any follow-up notes you add to improve your prep pack
- your email address and payment details through Stripe checkout
- any information you send by email if you contact me
Please do not paste sensitive information that is not needed for interview preparation.
How your information is used
Your job advert, CV, or notes are used to generate your interview prep pack and any follow-up updates you request.
Payment information is handled by Stripe. I do not receive or store your full card details.
Contact information is used to reply to support questions, payment queries, or refund requests.
AI processing
Interview Decoded uses an AI provider to generate your prep pack. This means the job advert, CV, or notes you submit are sent to the AI provider so the tool can create the output.
The tool is designed for interview preparation. It should not be used for confidential, highly sensitive, medical, legal, financial, or security-critical information.
What is stored
Interview Decoded does not currently create user accounts or store full prep packs for later login.
The system may store limited payment and access information, such as whether a checkout session has been paid, whether a prep pack has been generated, and how many follow-up updates remain.
Website, hosting, payment, and security providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and error logs.
Who processes information
Information may be processed by service providers used to run the website and tool, including:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, security, and access control
- Stripe, for payment processing
- OpenAI, for AI generation
- any email provider used to handle support messages
How long information is kept
Access records are kept only as long as needed to provide the paid prep pack, handle support, prevent abuse, and maintain basic records.
Support emails may be kept for a reasonable period so I can respond to the issue and keep a record of what was agreed.
Payment records may be retained as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data.

Security
I use reputable providers to run the website, payment flow, hosting, and AI generation. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.
